Prize draw

This year’s Christmas Draw has been very well received and supported by those members able to visit the Club throughout December.

We have 30 prizes on offer with the main prize being a custom-fitted Titleist TSi Driver, recently released at the beginning of November.

I have included a list of prizes that are on offer within the attachments of this email.

Tickets can be purchased up until the draw which will take place at 2pm on Christmas Eve within the clubhouse.

Tickets can be purchased via telephone or email for those members who may not get the chance to visit the club before the draw date.

Please do contact us should you wish to participate, and as ever thank you for your continued support, especially during this most challenging of years.


Christmas in the pro shop

So, with a week to go until the big day, is your Christmas shopping done and dusted yet?

If not, there's no need to take a last-minute trip to the high street this weekend. Instead, pop by the pro shop and take a look at our collection of fantastic gift ideas - we've' even got stuff for the non-golfers in your family.

The best bit is that you'll avoid the Christmas hustle and bustle elsewhere, whilst seeing our friendly faces!

Lastly, at late notice I have been given the opportunity to host a Scotty Cameron and Titleist fitting day this coming Friday 18th December.

This presents the opportunity to spend a session with Tim Baker of Titleist getting fitted for woods, irons, wedges or putters.

Appointments are available in 40-minute intervals from 10am until 2pm and are listed below.

Golf on Tour

Westwood and Fitzpatrick taste glory

The season-ending DP World Tour Championship lived up to expectations over the weekend, delivering an incredible tournament with the European Tour’s best golfers battling it out until the final hole. In the end, it was Matthew Fitzpatrick who won the event and took home a cool $3 million for a second time, paring his final hole after a nervy bogey at the 17th to win by one.

But it wasn’t just a one-off event. The Dubai-based finale also saw the Race to Dubai – the tour’s order of merit - come to a close. For much of the week, it looked as though Patrick Reed would secure the title and be the first American to do so. However, after Fitzpatrick’s blistering start on Sunday, he was in pole position. Yet, come to the 72nd hole, it was a certain Mr Lee Westwood who went on to celebrate his third order of merit title at the age of 47.

A fantastic achievement. Maybe his Ryder Cup career isn’t over just yet?
